Wine Spectator
Grand Award
One of the most
highly regarded honours in the international culinary community is the Wine Spectator
Grand Award,
granted to 76 of the more than 4,000 restaurants worldwide that compete for it every year.
Among those select few is the Post Hotel & Spa , a Grand Award recipient since 2002.

"This is Canada at its best, when it rivals the tropics for being the greatest paradise on earth."

Wine Cellar
The Post Hotel wine cellar is located adjacent to the Lake Louise Dining Room and has an inventory of over 25,500 bottles and more than 2200 selections of the finest wines available. Thanks to the efforts of Lake Louise Hotel owner George Schwarz, the wine list at the Post has become one of the most comprehensive in the country and continues to impress dining room guests.
Since 2002, Wine Spectator, the authoritative wine magazine of North America, has awarded the Post Hotel its highest honour - The "Grand Award". One of only four restaurants in Canada to achieve this recognition, which is regarded as the pinnacle of restaraunt success worldwide.

Many hotel guests, who have been equally impressed with the list, have highlighted their dining experience and special occasions at the Post with a wine from a particularly meaningful vintage. For example, the pièce de résistance to a quiet birthday dinner was a wonderful bottle of 1957 Volnay-Frémiets "Clos de la Rougette." Another couple, celebrating a special anniversary, indulged in an outstanding 1959 Châteaux Haut-Brion. Worry not, you don't need such a special occasion to enjoy one of these fine wines.
